Call 4 Action: Bride's Wedding Videos Still Not Delivered

POSTED: 4:42 pm EDT July 23, 2008

Lori Paul's wedding was one of the happiest days of her life, but she has a hard time smiling when she thinks about what's missing.

Paul told Call 4 Action that she hired a photographer, and more than a year later, the Wilkinsburg woman is still waiting to get what she paid for.

"I don't understand how he can play with people's emotions like this," Paul said.

She said she paid $2,400 to the owner of a company called TSI Photography -- which she found online -- to shoot photos and videotape her wedding in May 2007.

Paul said only some of the photos arrived, and many of them were blurry. Also, she doesn't have any videos yet.

"That was a big part of our wedding, to get the pictures to look back on, and now it's ruined," Paul said.

Between Call 4 Action's files and the Better Business Bureau, more than two dozen couples have lodged similar complaints since the fall, reporter Aaron Saykin said.

Call 4 Action looked for TSI owner John Coma at the address listed for his company. It was his parents' home. His father said Coma was working and was not there.

Call 4 Action also went to an address that Coma's father gave Saykin, but nobody answered the door.

"Does he intend to give these people their video?" Saykin asked.

"Yes. He intends to give all of the albums out, too," Coma's father said.

"Do you know what happened?" Saykin asked.

"Well, they're just stockpiled," the father said. "He had people quit on him that were doing this for him and everything, and he just got caught up in it."

Customers will have their videos within eight weeks, the father said.

Anyone who is searching for a wedding photographer should check them out with the BBB first, or at least do a search on Google.com.

Saykin said the safest thing to do is use referrals. Ask friends and co-workers who they hired, and whether those people delivered.
